This weekend, there was a wedding and it was dapper.
On June 18, 2016, Michael & Sheldon were married with loads of family and friends in attendance.
They were wed in Erie Basin Park, a quaint lawn in Red Hook, Brooklyn. It’s also right across the street from the IKEA parking lot, but we tried to ignore that.
They celebrated the rest of the day in a nearby Irish pub, feeding everyone generous helpings of West Indian food. Their violinist friend arrived to provide the best wedding music ever, then a DJ came to stir up some dancing.
By the numbers: 1100 shots, 250 photos, 8 hours of shooting, 10 hours of editing one by one (I’m very fast). This was my 2nd official wedding photographed but 5th wedding attended with my camera in tow, and this time around I felt quite comfortable. Inside, outside, harsh light, needing flash, no second shooters, an active request from the grooms for no one else to take photos… all getting more familiar.
Does this mean I can consider myself a wedding photographer now? =P
Congrats again to Sheldon & Michael! Thanks for letting me be witness to a beautiful wedding.
