I want to just fly over to Reykjavik and go on a road trip around the island for two weeks in August, right before starting med school. It would be, by a huge margin, the wildest trip I’ve ever undertaken. That is why I hesitate.
Still, this is the time to do it. My camera has given me strong motivation to journey to that jarringly scenic country. I’ve never been so fit, so free of obligation, and so full of adventurous energy, and all three will disappear when I begin med school. Continue reading Should I Journey to Iceland?→
Big news: I’ve accepted my spot at Weill Cornell Medical College, so unless some waitlist shenanigans happen, I’m headed there in August! Wooooo!!!
By the way, Cornell’s in Manhattan itself, Upper East Side, not in Ithaca. Back in April, I attended Cornell’s accepted student weekend and then bused over to Boston to visit friends. And boy, was it a weird trip, filled with some pretty fantastic adventures and some pretty questionable decisions. Continue reading April Adventures and Questionable Decisions→
It started with a tiny idea, that my friend at UCLA med school would have two days off after an exam, so we’d take the opportunity to utilize my mobility and drive someplace fun. Santa Barbara has been kind to me this past year. Although I am excited to be returning to an urban environment (be it New York, Philadelphia, or St. Louis, still not sure), I can’t help but but reminisce about the paradise that I am about to leave. There are aspects of Santa Barbara, big things and little things, that I will miss. Here, I present them to you in meme fashion. Continue reading just santa barbara things→
Our 10-day trip to Taiwan in December was, first and foremost a family trip. It’s the first time in 11 years that all five of us, my mom, dad, Steven, Henry, and I have made it back all together. Continue reading Taiwan 1 of 3 – Family→
This was the fourth time I’ve visited Taiwan in the last 7 years. On previous trips, studying, teaching or leadership programs, or family have been the main focuses. Well, family was the priority this time too (see the previous post), but this was also the first time I brought a camera intent on producing some photographs. My family helped by taking us all around the island and saving some time to visit some noteworthy locations along the way. Continue reading Taiwan 2 of 3 – Travel→
